Advocate Jakub Słupski, LL.M., is a specialist in copyright law, personal rights protection, as well as media and advertising law. At Patpol Legal, he provides comprehensive legal services to entrepreneurs operating in the applied arts and creative industries, as well as individual creators.
In his career, Mr. Słupski has represented, among others, the largest Polish private television broadcaster in disputes concerning personal rights protection, copyright, and combating unfair competition; one of the largest Polish financial institutions in personal rights protection disputes; manufacturers in disputes with entities trading in counterfeit goods; and owners of well-known brands in matters of copyright and trademark infringements.
He graduated from the Faculty of Law and Administration at Jagiellonian University (UJ). He is an alumnus of the American Law Program, a collaboration between UJ and the Catholic University of America in DC, as well as the WIPO Summer School on Intellectual Property Law in Dubrovnik. He obtained an LL.M. and a Master’s degree in private law (Master Droit privé) from Université de Cergy-Pontoise in France.
He is a recipient of the BGF scholarship – a French government scholarship awarded by the French Embassy in Poland.
He is a lecturer at Université de Cergy-Pontoise in France and the Vistula University Group.
He is also the author and co-author of publications on copyright law, personal rights, competition and consumer protection, and legal theory.
